100% merino wool, worsted weight, 1 skein
1 hook size 7/4.5mm

16 stitches and 12 rows = 4” (10cm) in half double crochet with a size 7/4.5mm hook
Instructions
Using the double crochet foundation stitch, dcf 26.  Being careful not to twist your work, join with sl st to first chain to form a loop.
(Or if that makes you nervous, ch 26. Being careful not to twist your work, join with sl st to 1st ch to form a loop. ch 2, dc in ea ch around. join with sl st to 1st ch.)
Rnds 1 - 4: *ch 2, this is considered the 1st backpost stitch (bp).  fp, bp, in ea st around, ending with fp.  join with sl st to first bp.* repeat from * to * for 3 more rows.  Join with sl st to first bp:  4 row cuff.
Rnds 5 - 12: Ch 2. hdc in each st around. join with sl st to first chain sts.
Rnd 13: (thumb round): ch 2. hdc in next stitch. ch 6. skip next 4 hdcs, hdc in next st, and in each st around. join with sl st to first chain sts.

Rnds 14 - 22: ch 2. hdc in each st around. join with sl st to first chain sts.

fasten off.
